These training gloves use layered foam padding across the knuckle area, built for bag work and pad drills rather than sparring, which is the intended use for a glove at this price and weight. The layered structure absorbs impact in stages instead of compressing flat on the first hard hit and staying flat after.
A wide hook-and-loop wrist closure secures the glove snugly around the wrist, giving support to the joint during repeated strikes without needing a lace-up closure that would require a training partner to tighten. The palm area is ventilated with a mesh panel to let some air through during longer bag sessions.
The included hand wraps go on underneath the gloves and wrap the wrist and knuckles directly, adding a layer of support and sweat absorption that the glove alone doesn't provide. Both wraps are the standard 180-inch length used for a full wrist-and-hand wrap pattern.
